The Ford scholarship program is giving away over $400,000, with the help of its dealerships in the North Texas area, to high school seniors who plan to study science, technology, engineering, or math in college.

The scholarship program, also known as Ford Driving Dreams, will divide the scholarships up into $2,000 individual awards based on achievements and the personal essay on the subject “What Drives Your Dreams?” The deadline to apply for a scholarship is February 29. The Ford Driving Dreams awards ceremony will take place in May.

Ford Driving Dreams is located in North Texas and works to help students graduate and make college funds available to them, but this is just one branch of Ford’s large philanthropic arm, which donates more than $8 million a year to educational initiatives and scholarship funds. Other Ford groups like Driving Dreams include the Blue Oval Scholars, Next Generation Learning, and the Ford STEAM Lab.

Ford has also contributed to the growth of local communities in North Texas, investing over $22 million in local education programs like school districts and parent groups.
